God consistently expresses faithful love

NOTE: Following is an update on a previous post.

“Has YHWH redeemed you?  Then speak out!  Tell others he has saved you from . . .” Psalm 107:2

In reading through Psalm 107, I am encouraged to see “the faithful love of YHWH.” 107:43 Whether he is turning springs into deserts or deserts into springs, He is at work in the midst of all. We should praise God for the consistent expressions of His faithful love. Four groups of people in this Psalm

1.  Wandering in the desert, lost, homeless, hungry, thirsty 4, 5

2.  Sitting in darkness and gloom, miserable, in chains, in rebellion 10,11

3. Fools in their rebellion, appetite gone, death near 17,18

4.  Fleeing in ships around the world v23

In each case, YHWH acts in faithful love to bring them back.

Reminded of  Zechariah 4:10, “Do not despise small things.  The Lord rejoices to see the work begin.”

I rejoice that His work has begun.  God speaks, “Rest in my goodness this day, I am enjoying what I have begun to do in and through you.”

Gratefulness and sheer joy!

I have been praying for scriptures to share with my son. He is 32, has Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma which he has been fighting for the last 7 years. He has recently gone through a divorce, lost his home and his “stuff” and is want to give up on everything, including his chemo therapy. Thanks to this particular “blog” I believe I have the very scriptures that I am supposed to share with him right now. Thanks

2 Cor 1 in action again! He comforts us so that we can comfort others. Trust that Your presence with your son will communicate the love of God in flesh.
