Never to Hurry Again

Quietness of the ages by Saad Salem

“I want each of you to go away from this place and never hurry again.  Hurry is always an expression of anxiety and the sign of a deeper problem.”

A quote from Dallas Willard in Gary Moon’s Apprenticeship with Jesus: Learning to Live Like the Master.

In the next paragraph, Moon quotes Willard as saying,

“And remember, ‘One of the greatest enemies of service to Jesus is service to Jesus.’ If you are not experiencing your yoke as easy and your burden is light, then you are bearing some other burden, but not the burden of Christ–it is a problem with your heart.”

I don’t know about you but I find these words to be extremely convicting!  What burdens do you carry that are not of Christ?
