What suppresses your appetite for righteousness?

What keeps us from hungering and thirsting for righteousness that Matthew 5 speaks about?  Our Pastor Brian Fisher, in a great message on Mtt 5:1-4 asked us to consider what suppresses our appetite for righteousness.  He suggested that too many of us have been filled up with the world.  We have a hunger and thirst for lust, anger, control, power, prestige. We believe that we can have it all NOW!

We are too often consumed or deceived by our inordinate desires!  What is suppressing your appetite for personal righteousness?
