Looking for the following

September 19, 2009 Leave a comment Go to comments

Since we are returning to the U.S. in mid-December for a few months, I am making a list of a few things that I would like to bring back.  Comments appreciated if you have used these or something similar.

First: A digital luggage scale.  I like the following from Balanzza

Second: A flex bar–kind of weird but it looks like it might be helpful for tennis elbow.  I am using some stretchy thing right now that I got from a friend to see if there is merit in the concept.

Third: A pair of vibram five finger running shoes.  Saw these on Michael Hyatts blog

Regarding Vibram Five Fingers running shoes…

I have had mine for about 5 weeks now and I am really enjoying them. It’s early yet, but thus far I have run injury free — comfortable and relaxed. You will change the entire way you run and revert back to something much more natural in the process. No more heavy heel strikes, shin splints, knee pains, etc. But be careful — you must (as with anything new) start off slowly and build up your new strength. Many parts of your feet and calves will be “waking up” for the first time.

thanks, I am not much of a runner anymore so probably will not get them just to have a walking shoe or a beach shoe. But, they are very tempting to have a talking point to start conversation!
